Field Operations Associate

Overview:

We believe in building strong relationships with farmers and understanding the unique challenges of each piece of land. We are currently seeking an Field Operations Associate to be the bridge between OptiSoil and the farming community. This role is pivotal in ensuring that soil samples are accurately collected and that farmers are well-informed and supported throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Soil Sample Collection: Travel to various farm locations to gather soil samples, ensuring that samples are representative and properly labeled.

  • Farmer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, understanding their needs, concerns, and objectives.

  • Communication: Clearly explain the soil sampling process to farmers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

  • Data Recording: Document details of each farm visit, including sample locations, farmer feedback, and any notable observations.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the laboratory team to ensure samples are delivered in a timely and organized manner.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest in soil sampling techniques and agricultural trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Soil Science, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in fieldwork or farmer relations is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with soil sampling equipment and techniques.

  • A genuine passion for sustainable farming and farmer support.
